About this tool
Take a photo of each page, or add photos you already have. The edges of the paper are found automatically and the page is straightened, so a photo taken at an angle looks like it came out of a scanner. Shadows and yellow paper are evened out to white, while the text stays sharp.
Add as many pages as you need, change their order, rotate them, and save everything as one PDF in A4 size. Your photos are processed on your own phone or computer and are never uploaded.
Frequently asked questions
How do I get the best scan?
Lay the page flat on a darker surface, keep the whole page in the photo and avoid strong shadows. The edges are then found automatically.
The edges were not found. What now?
Tap Adjust on the page and drag the four corners onto the corners of the paper. You can also use the whole photo.
Can I scan several pages into one PDF?
Yes. Keep adding photos; every photo becomes one page. Use the arrows to change the order.
Which look should I choose?
Magic color makes the paper white and keeps coloured stamps and signatures. Black & white gives the smallest file for text-only pages. Original keeps the photo as it is.
Can I search or copy the text of my scan?
Yes. After saving, continue with OCR to add a searchable text layer to the PDF.
Are my files uploaded to a server?
No. Scan document to PDF runs inside your browser, so your document never leaves your phone or computer. Close the tab and nothing is kept.
Is Scan document to PDF free?
